The altarpiece painted by Reverand
Staffan Wallmark, Jokkmokk, who had
an attachment with Ormsjö, was at first
meant to be an altarpiece in Ormsjö chapel.
The establishment received with
greatness the painting on August 21, 1943.
At the same board meeting it was told that
the crucifix that Guldbrandzén had ordered
was completed. He told the members,
“that his intention had been, that the
crucifix should have been a gift to the
chapel, but now, when an other altarpiece
had been presented and received, the
crucifix could be useful in another chapel”.

The board asked him if they could recive the
crucifix to be used for the first purpose.

The board of works got the commission to
take care of and to place both the crucifix
and the altarpiece on the places in the
assembly-room, where the articles of virtu
were best placed.
